Dr. Priya Patel

Meet the Director of Ocular Disease Management, Dr. Priya Patel.

Dr. Patel was born and raised in Long Island, New York. She fell in love with optometry after seeing how much her father benefited from eye surgery. She moved to sunny Florida to pursue her Bachelor's Degree at The University of Florida. She went on to get a Master's Degree in Public Administration from The University of Central Florida before she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Kentucky College of Optometry at Pikesville. Following optometry school, Dr. Patel completed a residency at Cleveland Veteran Affairs Medical Center associated with Ohio State University where she focused on ocular disease management and specialty contact lens fittings.

Dr. Patel is passionate about preserving eyesight by providing comprehensive, evidence-based eye care to the Central Florida community and underserved populations worldwide.

When Dr. Patel is away from the practice you can find her enjoying the local food scene with her friends and family, playing tennis or doing yoga or traveling through other countries learning about the many cultures of the world.
